Bulk QR Code Creation: Generate Up to 100 QR Codes at Once

Creating a QR code one at a time is fine for a single restaurant menu or a business card. It stops being fine the moment there are 40 store locations, a product catalog with its own QR code per SKU, or a client list where each one needs their own tracked link. Bulk creation exists for exactly that gap.

What it actually does

Upload a CSV file with two columns - name and destination - and every row becomes its own dynamic Website QR code, created in one pass instead of one form submission at a time. Each one gets tracked independently: its own scan count, its own device/location/time breakdown, its own active/inactive toggle.

It's specifically for website-type QR codes. Menus, vCards, WiFi, and the other 15 types still go through the regular create flow one at a time, since each of those has its own set of fields a spreadsheet row can't cleanly represent.

What goes in the CSV

Two columns, name and destination - a downloadable template is available directly on the bulk-create page so the header names are never a guessing game. Up to 100 rows per upload.

Before anything gets created, every row runs through the same checks a single QR code would: destination validity, protocol restrictions, and a safety check against known malicious/phishing URLs. Rows that fail either check are flagged before creation - nothing invalid or unsafe gets skipped silently and turned into a QR code anyway.

What happens if a few rows have a problem

A 100-row import is realistically going to have at least one typo or bad URL somewhere. Rows that don't pass validation are marked invalid with a specific reason before you ever click create, so it's clear upfront which ones need fixing. And if something interrupts the import partway through - a dropped connection, a row that fails on the server side - the result tells you exactly how many were created and lists the specific rows that weren't, rather than a blanket success message that may not be telling the truth.

Where it's actually useful

A franchise or multi-location business creating one QR code per store for a promotion. An agency setting up tracked links for a batch of clients at once. A product catalog where each SKU gets its own QR code pointing at its own page. A print run where every table tent, sticker, or flyer needs a QR code and pre-generating all of them at once is faster than 40 separate form submissions.

Getting started

Bulk creation is a Business-plan feature, available from the dashboard alongside regular QR code creation. For anything under a handful of QR codes, creating them individually is still the simpler path - bulk import earns its keep once the number of codes needed at once gets past what's reasonable to click through by hand.

Common questions

What QR code type can I bulk-create from a CSV?

Website QR codes only. Every row becomes its own dynamic Website QR code - Menu, vCard, WiFi, and the other 15 types still go through the regular create flow one at a time.

How many QR codes can I create in one bulk upload?

Up to 100 rows per upload, using a two-column CSV - name and destination.

What happens if some rows in my CSV have bad URLs?

They're flagged as invalid with a specific reason before you click create. Every row runs through the same destination validity, protocol, and safety checks as a single QR code, so nothing invalid or unsafe gets created silently.

What plan includes bulk QR code creation?

Business. For anything under a handful of QR codes, creating them individually is still the simpler path.
